Farmington AAUW Hosts Events to Support Scholarships, Programs
The American Association of University Women branch provides programs that benefit women and girls.
The Farmington AAUW (American Association of University Women) branch will host two two fundraising events this fall.
A garage sale held Sept. 26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at 33868 Glenview, will support the AAUW's scholarship fund and other programs that benefit women and girls.
On Oct. 8, the community is invited to a free performance of cello music and the inspiring words of Stephanie Winters at Salem United Church of Christ in Farmington. The 7 p.m. program is entitled "Creating the Magic of Connection", and light refreshments will be served. A New York-based cellist, Winters uses music to give people a way to discover their potential.
Donations will be accepted for Farmington AAUW's scholarship fund.
