American Legion Lays Wreaths at Farmington War Memorial

The ceremony was held Saturday morning, the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.

On Saturday, American Legion Groves-Walker Post 346 kept up its annual tradition of laying a wreath at the Farmington War Memorial, located in Memorial Park at Grand River and Oakland Street.

Anthony Mallia, representing the Post, Farmington High junior Grace Newlin and Christopher Mallia laid three wreaths to honor veterans and fallen war heroes on the anniversary of the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor.

Newlin was named an honorary members of the American Legion Post for her 2013 community service project, a refresh of the post's monument sign.
