Beadworkers Guild Holds First Farmington Area Sale

The Guild exhibits items in the City Gallery at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills through Oct. 12.

Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild artists will offer a wide array of gift items during a sale Saturday sale at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. 

Admission to the exhibit and sale is free, and the exhibit will be on display through Oct. 12 in the City Gallery. 

According to a City of Farmington Hills press release, the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild began with only a dozen members in the spring of 1992 and now has a membership of over 250. The Guild meets monthly and offers annual bead weaving classes from nationally known instructors. Members create jewelry, dream catchers, purses, belts and the occasional new item, such as beaded iPad covers.

The Saturday sale is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. City Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and by special request. For more information, call the Cultural Arts Division at 248-473-1856.
