Dog Park Orientations Now Offered Monthly in Farmington Hills

Pet owners who want to use the William Grace Dog Park must attend one of the sessions.

Paws in the Hills volunteers have established a monthly orientation session for anyone wishing to use the William Grace Dog Park 29040 Shiawassee in Farmington Hills.

Volunteer Masha Silver said the group will now hold sessions at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Costick Center. The meetings will begin promptly at 7 p.m., so those who plan to attend should arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete registration, she said.

"There's no need to bring anything, and no dogs are allowed," Silver added.

Dog owners will learn what vaccinations and health records their pets should have, as well as the park's rules and regulations. A $30 annual fee helps cover the cost of maintaining the park.

"You can be there the whole year, for as many hours as  you want," Silver said. "It's the best $30 you can spend."
