The Story Behind This Car: I always liked Model As, but it used to be owned by the father-in-law of a friend of mine. He owned it for 50 years, and I just got it from him this summer. It actually used to be a bootlegger’s car. There was a tank in the back, behind the back seat. There was a box that you would put all of the bottles in, too. I’m actually the third owner of this car. It’s been in Farmington Hills since 1961.

What’s so special about the Woodward Dream Cruise?: I just think it’s so cool that it brings in people from everywhere. You’ll see cars from all over the country out there. You add that to the history of Woodward, how people would cruise there and all the businesses that are along there that participate, it’s pretty cool.
