Motor Madness at the Costick Center

This event will feature children’s battery-powered car drag races, remote control car races, and speed tests using radar guns. Kids can drive their monster truck and matchbox cars through all terrains, get a new coating at the Pit Stop Paint Station, and then help create a paint makeover on a full-sized car!

Little truckers can pedal through Safety Town Tricycle City, jump in the Gravity Test Bounce House, beat other racers in Wii Mario Kart Racing or play classic video games at the Test Drive Video Game Station. Displays will include a fire truck, police car, street sweeper, tractor, Ferrari, and more. Parents can check out the sports car exhibit and talk with local automotive experts.

The Michigan Midget Racing Association will showcase kids’ race cars, the Nankin Hobby Shop will have a slot car race track, Superior Play will feature a sensory play station, and the Signal Seekers Aviation Club will fly model airplanes and helicopters during the event. There will be a raffle with prizes from local businesses including the Henry Ford Museum, Nankin Hobby, Colonial Car Wash, and Darrell’s Firestone Tire.
