This month, Gleaners Community Food Bank and Kroger are working together to bring hope to the tables of hungry southeast Michiganders.
Each Saturday in January, volunteers will spend their day at local Kroger grocery stores across southeast Michigan, handing out information about the Bringing Hope to the Table initiative, as well as accepting donations of nonperishable food and money from shoppers.
Volunteers will be out at these Farmington Hills Kroger stores on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., in addition to other locations in Oakland County:
- 37550 W. 12 Mile Rd.
- 25780 Middlebelt Rd.
Volunteers for Bringing Hope to the Table were in Wayne County on Jan. 5, and will be in Macomb County on Jan. 12 and Livingston and Monroe counties on Jan. 26. Volunteers are needed for every date except Jan. 19. To sign up, or to learn more information, go to the Gleaners website.
