NAACP Detroit Branch Executive Director Keynotes Rainbow Awards

The annual breakfast will be held March 19; award nominations are due Feb. 28.

NAACP Detroit Branch executive director Donnell R. White will keynote the 17th Annual Rainbow Recognition Awards Breakfast, held March 19, 7:30 a.m., at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. 

Hosted by the Multicultural Multiracial Community Council of Farmington/Farmington Hills, the event recognizes area residents who champion the cause of diversity. Nominations are due by Feb. 28; download a nomination form at fhgov.com

Acclaimed as one of Detroit’s emerging leaders, White continues a family legacy of being engaged in the community. He attended Michigan State University and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance in 2001. He entered the Detroit Branch of the NAACP as a volunteer in 2002 and holds the distinction of being the youngest Deputy Director and Executive Director in the history of the NAACP.

Entertainment for the event will be provided by the East Middle School Jazz Band.
