National Weather Service Predicts Strong Storms Wednesday

The greatest chance for bad weather in Farmington and Farmington Hills is between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Wednesday morning and predicts "numerous thunderstorms" throughout the day.

Severe storms are most likely between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., but some morning storms could produce wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour. Afternoon storms will be capable of producing gusts up to 70 miles per hour, along with hail up to one inch in diameter. 

New rainfall of a quarter-inch to a half-inch is possible.
