Nature Center Offers Outdoor Programs in Farmington Hills

Programs for adults and children include outdoor yoga, a "critter catch" and nature hikes.

Looking for ways to get into the outdoors this spring and summer? Check out these programs offered by the Nature Discovery Center in Heritage Park:

Critter Catch June 14, 1:30 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon of searching the pond, meadow, and forest for insects and other critter with a naturalist who will identify the findings, demonstrate how to handle insects and bugs, and discuss how these creatures benefit humans and nature. Ages 6 and up.

Outdoor Yoga Wednesdays, 8 a.m., starting June 19
Breathe and stretch to the ever-changing beauty of Heritage Park and the serenity of nature. Appropriate for those with experience or beginners. 

Free Daily Programs at the Nature Center June 17-Aug. 23
No registration is required, limited to the first 25 participants. 

  • Mondays Nature Movie 2 p.m.
  • Tuesdays Story and Craft 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays Scavenger Hunt 2 p.m.
  • Thursdays Nature Hike 2 p.m.
  • Fridays Family Campfire 7 – 9 p.m.
