Old Winery Market Opens Dec. 8 in Farmington

Market master Jean Smith says the full season is filled with vendors who will gather next Saturday at the Old Winery/Powerhouse building on Grand River.

The Old Winery Market's second season, which starts next Saturday, is shaping up to be as successful as its first, according to market master Jean Smith.

"We're getting excited," she said. "We have 21 market days, and every day is filled with 30 to 35 vendors."

Open Saturdays 9 a.m.-2 p.m., the market will welcome some one-time vendors with gift items, like Creative Gifts baskets, on Dec. 8, Smith said.

Smith said shoppers will notice a few subtle changes to the decor and in the kitchen, which will be run this year by The Main Squeeze, a Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market vendor. They will offer their popular bacon waffles, and Smith's daughter Taylor will serve up her Taylor's Bake Shoppe crepes, with beverages provided by Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Co.
