Pre-Register for Quaint Afternoon of Tea, Headdresses Through the Ages Program

Reservations are also being accepted for the September tea, which will include a presentation on growing lavender and the imporance of bees.

Tea specialist Linda Pudlick and special guest Rachelle Willnus will present at the monthly afternoon tea at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at historic Longacre House, 24605 Farmington Road.

Willnus is a hat designer and the owner of Derby Hats by Rachelle. She will discuss women’s headdresses from the past through the present.

The charming afternoon includes a light luncheon with unlimited gourmet tea in a quaint and inviting atmosphere. The fee is $25, and pre-registrations is required at (248) 463-1870.

Children ages 8 and older and groups are encouraged.

Reservations may also be made for the Sept. 9 tea, which will feature a presentation by Yule Lavender Farm on how to grow the perennial and the importance of bees.

Because of construction, take 11 Mile Road or 12 Mile Road to Farmington Road, then head south. Longacre House is located at 24705 Farmington Road.
