Reception Opens New Farmington Hills Gallery Exhibit Dec. 15

A public reception in honor of a new exhibit by artist Martine MacDonald will be held Dec. 15, 4 p.m.-7 p.m., at the Farmington Hills City Gallery inside the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. 

MacDonald's works will be showcased in an exhibit titled “ELEMENTS: Sky, Water, Land" at the gallery through Jan. 22, 2014. 

A graduate of Wayne State University, MacDonald has coordinated and organized community-based projects, and has experience as a teacher, lecturer, exhibition curator, and freelance writer.

Her works range from landscape oil paintings and colored pencil drawings, to three-dimensional mixed media work and can be found in local galleries, exhibitions, and in private and corporate collections. 

Along with refreshments at the Dec. 15 reception, guests will enjoy musical performances by Joe Yankee, John Hall, and Terry Newman.
