Video Promotes Monday's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Event in Farmington Hills

The SWOCC Studios production shares excerpts from King's speeches.

The stirring words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. highlight a video promotion for a day of activities in his honor, held Monday in Farmington Hills.

The promo was posted on the video sharing website YouTube.com over the past week, by SWOCC (Southwestern Oakland Cable Commission) Studios. You can view all of their videos by following swoccstudios1

Hosted by the Multicultural Multiracial Community Council, the Jan. 21 event begins at 9 a.m. with a walk from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on 12 Mile Road to the Farmington Community Library Main Library. A program runs from 10:15 a.m. through the afternoon and includes re-enactor Rudy Barker delivering Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech, readings, stories music and a performance by the Harrison High School dance company.
