Weekend Countdown: Halloween Fun Day

Patch tells you what's happening this weekend around Farmington and Farmington Hills.

It's Monday. The weekend just ended, and we're all back to our daily routines – but it's always fun to look ahead. We're sharing our daily picks for fun and interesting events happening in the area, and on Friday, we will compile the list to help you plan your next weekend's adventures.

When: Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Why go: The Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market is transforming into the Haunted Market as vendors dress up in costume and offer a bountiful variety of fresh fall produce. In the morning, the market will offer cider from RB Miller Farm, a scarecrow farewell, and a gourd toss.  Children will have the opportunity to have their faces painted and decorate a pumpkin. You can also take a short stroll over to the to create a free Halloween craft. The festive Halloween happenings continue as the offers a free showing of Monsters vs. Aliens and a chance to win some cool raffle prizes. Starting at 2 p.m., children can get a jump start on their trick-or-treating by stopping by businesses downtown that have a balloon out front. Children of all ages can have a good time in this Saturday.
