Art on the Grand Starts Under Cool, Blue Skies in Downtown Farmington

The annual juried festival draws a crowd with fine art, music and more.

The crowds were light but growing as Art on the Grand got underway in downtown Farmington this morning. The annual juried art festival started on a cool note as temperatures crawled into the upper 60s. 

Art on the Grand booths display the works of 100 fine artists in a variety of media, including jewelry, clothing and even puppets. Performing artists are on two stages, playing through 8 p.m. tonight. At 6 p.m., Empty Canvas takes the Grapes on the Grand stage in the , with an interactive show that combines art and music. The wine, beer and chocolate tasting is open to adults 21 and over. 

Entertainment on two stages continues tomorrow, with the Farmington Community Band, Gia Warner, Paul Vornhagen Duo and Sheila Landis and Greg Matle. Sunday's hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
