Audition for Farmington Hills Youth Theater Production

'Disney's Aladin, Jr.' brings the popular movie characters to the stage.

Farmington Hills Youth Theatre invites adults and young actors in grades 3-12, of all experience levels, to audition for the fall production of Disney’s Aladdin, Jr., a special version of the show tailored to young audiences. 

Open auditions will take place Sunday, Sept. 11 from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Costick Center, 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. is based on the adventures of Aladdin, the princess Jasmine, the wildly funny Genie and many other great characters, along with all the magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides that make the story a favorite for all ages. The performance will feature the movie’s Academy Award-winning songs, including, “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me.”  Many parts will be available for ages 8 through adult, in two large casts.

The Sept. 11 audition schedule is as follows:
12:30 p.m.-2 p.m., Grades 3-4
2 p.m.–3:30 p.m., Grades 5-7
3:30 p.m.–5 p.m., Grades 8-12 and adults

Actors are asked to bring a recent school photo; otherwise, photos taken at auditions will cost $2. All other materials are supplied and nothing needs to be prepared in advance. Cast members will pay a registration fee that includes costumes, scripts and musical scores.

Class/rehearsal dates and times will vary depending upon role, and will go from Sept. 24 through Nov. 16; show dates are Nov. 17-20, at the Costick Center. Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. is presented in conjunction with Sky’s the Limit Productions.
