If this doesn’t whet your appetite and make your mouth water, you might be hopeless.

Restaurant Week begins Friday in Royal Oak. That means 20 of the top downtown restaurants in Royal Oak will be offering special three-course pre-fixe menus for lunch and dinner from March 28-April 6.

Prices range from $15 to $35 per person during the 10-day celebration of food sponsored by the Royal Oak Restaurant Association.

“After a fairly brutal winter we are hoping people will come out of their houses and check out the great food at any of the 22 restaurants taking part,” Restaurant Association spokeswoman Stephanie  McIntyre told  The Oakland Press. “Most restaurants will have a three-course meal depending on the location and whether it’s lunch or dinner. Some restaurants could get crowded, so it might be a good idea to call ahead for reservations.”

Participating restaurants include:

  • Lockhart’s BBQ
  • Andiamo Royal Oak
  • Bigalora Cucina
  • Bastone
  • BlackFinn Ameripub
  • Café Muse
  • Cantina Diablos
  • D’Amato’s
  • Fifth Avenue
  • Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery
  • Hamlin Corner
  • Monk Beer Abbey
  • Oak City Grille
  • O’Tooles
  • Oxford Inn
  • Pronto!
  • Rock on Third
  • Royal Oak Brewery
  • Star Lanes Restaurant and Sports Bar at Emagine
  • Tom’s Oyster Bar
  • Vinotecca
  • Woody’s Diner.
No tickets or passes are necessary during Restaurant Week. Just show up to any participating restaurant. And don’t forget your appetite.

excuses for your poor editing, yet when called out about it you seem to be able to compose a pretty coherent statement with very minor grammatical errors. Amazing how that malware virus and sticky key thing works when it is convenient. Either way whatever floats your boat. Some of us see Royal oak for the sinking ship that it has become and have abandoned all hope for it. It seems no matter how loudly you scream the citcom and mayor have their own agenda and refuse to listen to anyone in regards to making this a better place. After all what has more power, someone with ideas on bettering this community for the long haul or a business that brings in revenue even if only temporary? We all know which one the citcom and mayor will listen to. This forum does no real good in changing any of it though so save your energy. There are better ways to spend it like finding a home in a thriving city that respects it's residents and listens to them and works with the community to make it a better place and start packing. That is just my suggestion though.

Weird sometimes there is no problem and then it starts as its doing right now as my posting just disappeared and I just started over. Then sometimes the computer between my ear freezes especially when I read that another drink, puke and fall down is opening in the city. It takes patience, which I do not have to be a good editor with a sticky keyed computer. So have patience with me Patience.

You are trying to overthink things again Ron. I simply have no patience for blow hards who slander others as thieves and are too lazy to do anything except back seat drive - useless. Do I like everything I see around here? Of course not, but that does not grant a license to lie about people and completely mangle facts without end. You seem to think it does.

Mark where there is smoke as the old saying goes etc. This city needs to be investigated for misappropriation of block development grants for a start. As for your slanderous remarks they do not bother me. I call it as I see it. Meanwhile, since nobody knows WHO you are nobody can take you seriously. I have never seen you present ANY facts to defend what this administration does with all the money it takes in. All one has to do is to look at the accomplishments of surrounding cities such as Birmingham including a beautiful downtown park and library. Tell your boss your heavy handed attempts to disparage will never deter my criticism of a PAC elected mayor who bullies with threats against AOL a hard working patch editor into censoring commentary and deleting comments all just before a joke of an election repeated yearly for reasons all who read this know well. With the exception of honest mistakes involving addresses, or spelling I challenge you to tell us how exactly I am mangling facts. As for your opinions as expressed recently you have me confused with someone who cares about the opinion of a ghost poster. I regret any respect I gave you in the past.
