Divas of Rock Benefit Concert for Alternatives for Girls

Students of the School of Rock Farmington will be showcasing female artists' work in their upcoming show, “Divas of Rock.” The profits from the show will be donated to Alternatives for Girls and the show will be performed at the Uptown Grille in Commerce Twp, MI. on September 29, 2012 from 2:00pm-5:00pm. Over the years and across the country School of Rock has partnered with many charities local and national to help give back, this year they have partnered with Alternatives for Girls of Detroit to help raise awareness and funds for a great local Charity. Alternatives for Girls operating in Detroit since 1987, has helped homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation, and help them to explore and access the support, resources and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong and to make positive choices in their lives. Tickets are $10 and children under 18 are free. There will also be a raffle with prizes. Tickets available at door
