Farmington Community Band Offers Free Holiday Concert

The Dec. 11 concert program includes music from 'The Nutcracker Suite' and other holiday classics.

The Farmington Community Band (FCB) presents “The Holiday Show” on Sunday, Dec. 11, 3 p.m., in the  .

Admission is free for this afternoon of great musical entertainment, featuring the 90-piece FCB Concert Band, under the direction of Damien Crutcher. The rich collection of concert band classics and holiday themes includes “Scenes From The Louvre” and selections from “The Nutcracker Suite” among many others.

The show continues with a special appearance by the fabulous 20-piece FCB Big Band, performing a vibrant collection of jazzy standards to add to the holiday spirit.

Based at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, the Farmington Community Band music organization includes over 100 people participating in a variety of wind ensembles. Band members of all ages and backgrounds simply enjoy performing good music. In that spirit, there is no admission fee for any FCB-sponsored concert.
