Farmington Hills Native Wins Record Game Show Prize

Andrew Kravis takes home $2.6 million from the Million Second Quiz finale.

Farmington Hills native Andrew Kravis made history Thursday night, taking home $2.6 million with a win on NBC's Million Second Quiz.

Host Ryan Seacrest called the jackpot the biggest prize in game show history. He surprised Kravis after the win by bumping up the total from the $2.1 million that had accumulated by the end of the marathon game.

Million Second Quiz continued for a million seconds, or about 11 days, with action on and off the air. Contestants went head-to-head in trivia battles to reach the "money seat" and accumulate winnings.

Asked what he would do with the money, Kravis said he would pay off student loans (he's a law school graduate), and told Seacrest, "I've been thinking, I've never been to Europe."
