Farmington's Rhythmz in Riley Park Opens Season Down the Street

The Luddites play a return engagement June 8, at the gazebo near Farmington Place apartment complex on Grand River.

Rhythmz in Riley Park opens June 8 at a temporary location to help preserve the new turf in .

director Annette Knowles said The Luddites, an 11-piece, acoustic folk orchestra, will perform at the gazebo near and the Village Commons on Grand River.

“Riley Park is a great setting for our concerts,” Knowles said. “But we want to keep people off the lawn for a while longer to allow it to become firmly-rooted.”

Concert-goers are encouraged to park in the Village Commons parking lot. Management at Farmington Place has requested that attendees refrain from using its lot, which is used by its residents.

Rhythmz in Riley Park will return to its permanent location in Riley Park for the June 15 performance.
