Farmington-Hills based nonprofit organization kickstART farmington's upcoming film festival has received a financial boost from the Farmington/Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families

The $1,300 grant will support the presentation of a free youth-oriented film as part of the inaugural Greater Farmington Film Festival, held March 6-8 at Oakland Community College Orchard Ridge Campus and the Farmington Civic theater.

The festival will include recently released feature films and documentaries that engage the heart and mind, that explore important social issues and inspire action. Films with a conscience, according to a kickstART farmington press release.
