Local Artists Win Honors at Spring Exhibition

A Livonia man wins two top prizes at the Farmington Artists Foundation's juried show.

The Farmington Artists Foundation (FAF) Spring Exhibit and Sale will showcase award-winning artists from many local communities during the event, held April 15 at the .

Juror for the show is Robert Perrish, a nationally recognized artist. He worked in the commercial art field in illustration and design for 30 years and has won several major awards. To learn more, visit robertperrish.com.

1st Place: Rusty Frentner, Livonia - “Over the River”
2nd Place: Rusty Frentner, Livonia - “Pretty in Pink”
3rd Place: Billie Swelstad, Farmington Hills – “Flower Market"
4th Place: Fran Seikaly, West Bloomfield – "Cheryl”

President Mary Ann Waterman and Janet Hall, Spring Exhibit Chairperson, said the FAF is pleased to be a part of this celebration of the fine arts, which affords the club an opportunity to showcase outstanding works of many talented members. In its 46th year, FAF offers great support for artists, as well as classes for seniors and children.

The club meets on the second Wednesday of the month for eight months, at the , and area artists are welcome to attend.
