'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead' Opens March 22 at OCC in Farmington Hills

Women play the lead roles in this classic play, directed by Dennis North.

Performances of the Oakland Community College Theatre Program’s production, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard, are scheduled March 22-24 and March 29-31 in the Smith Theater at in Farmington Hills.

The curtain rises for all performances at 8 pm. 

Featuring a cast of 18, with the lead roles played by women, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is directed by professional actor and OCC Theatre faculty member Dennis North. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are two minor characters in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, but Stoppard has turned them into existential antiheroes in his brilliant play.

General admission is $8; students and seniors (age 60-plus) pay $5. Tickets may be purchased at the OCC Raiders Store or at the Smith Theatre Box Office on the day of the performance. Tickets may also be reserved in advance by calling 248-522-3666.
