Weekend Countdown: Tad Weed Concert

It's Tuesday, and you are probably just getting back in the swing of your daily routine. Let's do something fun and look ahead at what will be going on in and around town this weekend. On Friday, we will compile a list to help you plan for the days ahead.

When: Sunday at 4 p.m. 

Why go: The  kicks off its “Great Performances in a Sacred Space” Performing Arts Series with powerhouse jazz pianist Tad Weed this Sunday. Weed has created over a dozen jazz recordings and has performed with great jazz artists including Mundelle Lowe, Charles Lloyd and Woody Herman. He has played all over the United States at jazz festivals and internationally at The Berlin Radio Festival. The public is welcome to come in out of the cold and listen to an afternoon of hot jazz. No tickets are required for this outstanding event, which is open to the public. A donation of $10 per person or $25 per family is suggested.
