When Wine and Art Collide

Art on the Grand wine tasting events include the unique musical stylings of Empty Canvas.

Despite temperatures that remained in the 80s, guests at Saturday night's Art on the Grand wine tasting dinner and wine stroll enjoyed an evening of fine food, fine wine and unique entertainment.

During dinner in the Grapes on the Grand tent, Empty Canvas, twin brothers Mike and Scott McMath of Midland, combined music and art, with Mike working on a painting while singing, and Scott playing the guitar and harmonizing on vocals. They also invited guests up to try their hand at painting.

During the meal, sommelier Mike Larranaga of Birmingham shared information about the wine served. As diners made their way through a five-course meal, guests at the nearby wine stroll tasted a wide variety of wines and beer.
