5 Places to Watch Super Bowl XLVII in Farmington and Farmington Hills

The Baltimore Ravens face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Chances are, you won't be making the trip to New Orleans for this year's Super Bowl.

If you're looking for a place in Farmington or Farmington Hills to watch the Baltimore Ravens battle the San Francisco 49ers, consider hitting one of these local spots before the 6:30 p.m. coin toss:

  • Basement Burger Bar
  • Grand Tavern
  • John Cowley & Sons
  • Page's Food & Spirits

If you're looking for an alternative, Drakeshire Lanes hosts a game-watching party. Reservations are recommended for this event, which includes unlimited bowling, shoe rental, food and entry for door prizes. Cost is $20 per person; call 248-478-2230.

Wherever you watch the Harbowl – a Super Bowl clash between brothers Jim Harbaugh, the 49ers coach, and John Harbaugh, who coaches the Ravens – dazzle your friends by telling them about these Michigan connections to the big game:

San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh was a star quarterback at the University of Michigan in the 1980s. Another former Wolverine is Jonathan Goodwin, a center for the 49ers.

Michigan State also has representatives in Garrett Celek, a tight end for the 49ers, and Trenton Robinson, a safety for the 49ers.

In addition, San Francisco offensive tackle Joe Staley played football at Central Michigan.

For Baltimore, Ravens offensive line coach Andy Moeller is a Michigan graduate.
