Well-traveled Farmington Hills Native Launches Safari Company

Scott Brills is featured in an Oakland County Prosper profile.

Scott Brills has traveled to all seven continents, but he always comes home to Farmington Hills.

In a Friday Oakland County Prosper profile, the 30-year-old entrepreneur and owner of a Farmngton Hills-based web design firm said his latest venture, Pamoja Safaris, provides guided tours to Tanzania, with part of the profits going to African orphanages.

"My parents are both still living here. I have relatives in the area, and I grew up here," he told reporter Natalie Burg. "I'm pretty active in the entrepreneurial scene in Detroit. A lot of my friends are doing big things there, and I like being a small part of the revitalization of the city."

Brills said he is also committed to A Vision for Clean Water, a Michigan-based nonprofit that brings biosand water filters to developing countries.
