Stop in for services at this Aveda concept salon, and you will leave relaxed.

If you feel like the hustle and bustle of the holidays is taking a toll on your appearance, then perhaps you’re due for a stop at in downtown Farmington for a revitalizing boost.

Owned by Diane Cassidy, who purchased the business in 2005, the Aveda concept salon is located in the heart of downtown Farmington adjacent to the .

“An opportunity was presented to purchase the salon, and I decided it was right for me,” said Cassidy, who previously owned the Village Clippers, also in downtown Farmington.

Nine stylists, two nail technicians, two massage therapists, and three body treatment rooms provide services to women, ranging from hair and nail care, to makeup and massage treatments, all in a warm and inviting ambiance of soft natural colors, brick walls and natural oak floors.

The best part is that everyone who visits the salon will get a stress relieving treatment as part of their visit.

“We get them (patrons) relaxed and then we provide the service,” said Cassidy, who added that all products at the salon are 97 percent natural.

In keeping with the theme of pampering customers, if you purchase a $100 gift certificate, you will receive a $10 gift certificate for yourself.

Cassidy believes not only in providing her patrons with superior service, but also in giving back to the community, which has been very loyal to her. For instance, every July, the salon hosts Alley Regalley, a strolling outdoor beer and wine tent open during the Farmington Area Founders Festival, and 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to area nonprofits.

“We’re very community and charity-oriented,” she said.
