New Farmington Hills Restaurant Combines Fine Food, Sports

Owner Ravi Rao says his new restaurant offers fresh-made foods with locally sourced ingredients.

The owner of Courtside Restaurant and Bar at 38503 W. 10 Mile Rd. may be opening a new business, but he's not new to Farmington Hills.

Ravi Rao, who previously owned Bombay Grill on Orchard Lake, celebrated a ribbon cutting and grand opening Monday, with the Greater Farmington Chamber of Commerce. Rao said he's aiming for a sports bar atmosphere, with great food.

"It's not like bar food," he said. "We source everything from local vendors, and everything is made fresh here."

Located in the strip mall just east of Research Drive, Courtside also has mostly Michigan-made beers on tap, he added.

The menu includes everything from burgers, which Rao said have been most popular since the restaurant's "soft" opening in July, to salads and entrees featuring chicken, beef, pork and seafood. A full menu is posted on the restaurant's website.
