How did your business get started? I left the family business World Wide TV & Appliance in 1992 to establish Paulson's Audio & Video, a cutting edge audio and video company.

What products and services does your business provide?
The business has changed over the years to high end audio products, Ultra High Definition 4K TVs, Smart Home products and high resolution surveillance cameras. Our technicians are capable of installing any type of low-voltage equipment for homes and businesses.

What do you want your business to be best known for?
Besides having a great assortment of audio/video products, the most knowledgeable sales and installation staff. We really excel in after-the-sale customer support. Our creed is "Take care of the client and they will take of you!"

What's your most popular service?
There are two areas of our business that continue to do very well -- mid to high audio products, like McIntosh components and B&W speakers. Home Automation also known as Smart Home technology has a great future! Allows you to operate your home from your smart phone or tablet away from home. You can unlock your front door, turn up or down the thermostat and know when your child has arrived home from school.

Why did you choose the location that you did
Being familiar with Farmington/Farmington Hills area I selected the 12 Mile/Halsted area because of the growth the was taking place in 1992 and the improvements to the 12 Mile corridor.

We have done business for years with this incredible local company. From the professionalism of Dan and Matt, to the knowledge of the installers that are not "farmed" out contractors, Paulson's is a true Farmington Hills treasure. Years ago the theater department at North Farmington needed a large flat screen TV for the production of Wizard of Oz. Paulson's was contacted and asked if North could borrow a TV. They delivered one, and when the show closed they donated it! In our home we only have Paulson's products and look forward to doing business with them for many years to come.

Organizations need to better understand the customer motivation for feedback that will help guide them to improvement leading to increased customer satisfaction. It is about better customer care. Enabling the customer to conveniently connect to you when they want and not when organizations send them surveys, questionnaires, websites listed on invoices or automated phone calls. Empowering customers to state their thoughts and views without having to compress them into your predetermined structure. Assist organizations to administrate and respond to those inputs effectively and quickly with full reporting functionality. All in real time !

My experieince with Paulson's is similar to Stacy's. They were great supporters of FHS and the Marching Band back in the '90s when I had a child there, which prompted me to make my first purchases (video cameras; how time flies!). I've since bought a big screen tv and was completely impressed by the sales process and the post-purchase set-up and support. My best friend recently purchased a high-end tv from Paulson's for the same reasons. You might save a (very) few bucks going to the Big Box stores, but in the end Paulson's service (and the lack of aggravation) more than makes up for it.

Plus I saw Bob Seger buying equipment there. Don't know if he's a regular, but that was an unpaid testimonial as far as I'm concerned.

Paulson's does a great job of installing in-wall speakers. Very happy with their work.
