Retired NHL Player Joins Farmington Hills-Based Kyyba

Wayne Presley will be responsible for helping expand the company.

Retired National Hockey League (NHL) player Wayne Presley has been named Vice President-North Region for Farmington Hills-based Kyyba, Inc. 

President and CEO Tel Ganesan said Presley will be responsible for expanding Kyyba’s services to a new client base in the region.

“Wayne has more than 14 years of experience in our field. He has the skills to create business opportunities and relationships with clients. Our North Region is lucky to have him,” Ganesan said.

Presley’s background includes business-to-business experience across a variety of industries. In the past, he worked for Teledata Technology Solutions (TTS), where he was responsible for overseeing operations in the Midwest Region and managing more than 90 consultants. He was employed by Synova, Inc. and LogicaCMG as well.

Prior to his IT career, Presley was a professional hockey player for 14 years. He played twelve seasons in the NHL, from 1984-85 until 1995-96, and was drafted 39th by the Chicago Black Hawks in the NHL Entry Draft.

He is also Vice President of the Red Wings Alumni Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 that helps in charities from the children’s burn victims to cancer.

Kyyba’s recent growth has called for an increase in experienced professionals who can put in the hard work needed to bring Kyyba to the next level.  The company's revenue has nearly quadrupled since 2008, and Kyyba was recently included on Inc. magazine's list of fastest-growing U.S. companies. 

“Wayne has a diverse background that sets him apart from others in the IT field,” said Ganesan. “I’m pleased he decided to join Kyyba.”

Presley resides in Michigan, and was born and raised in Taylor, MI.
