Roosters Men's Grooming Center Raises $2,500 for 'Movember'

Funds will be used to raise awareness for men's health issues.

A "Movember" fundraising effort supported by Roosters Men’s Grooming Center guests, fans and franchisees raised over $2,500 last month.

Roosters has locations around the U.S., including one at 37619 W. 12 Mile in Farmington Hills.

Movember raises vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Each November, thousands of men in the U.S. and around the world grow, groom, trim and wax mustaches for the organization. Roosters donated $1 for every new fan on its national Facebook page and participating local store pages throughout the month.

“Prostate cancer is a diagnosis that affects hundreds of thousands of men and their loved ones each year,” said Roosters Men’s Grooming Center Brand Director Brian Thomas. “Supporting Movember’s well-groomed, mustachioed approach to raising awareness about men’s health issues was a natural fit for Roosters and our guests. It was very well received and we’re pleased we were able to take part in the annual event.”
