Shirt Box Owners Match More Than Jackets and Ties

In a Detroit Free Press profile, Ron Elkus and Rod Brown share their secret for bringing couples together, including some from Farmington Hills.

The owners of The Shirt Box in Farmington Hills are well known for outfitting customers with handsome attire, matching shirts with ties, for instance.

But a Sunday Detroit Free Press profile shows Ron Elkus and Rod Brown are also matching up couples, with great success. Farmington Hills residents Pam and Randy Watsky and Michael and Beth Rosenfeld have Elkus to thank for introducing them, according to the profile.

"I think what stories do is build relationships, and in retail, that's the only thing we have is relationships," Elkus told the newspaper. "We remember those relationships, those stories, and it creates a family atmosphere when you hear their stories and are involved in their lives."
