Souptastik Crepes Brings Family Recipes to Farmington Hills

The restaurant, owned by West Bloomfield residents Michael and Vanda Rybak, is open for lunch and dinner.

Vanda and Michael Rybak spent a long time in the restaurant business before opening up their own shop, Souptastik Crepes, three months ago on Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills.

"This was his idea," Vanda Rybak said of her husband. "He always wanted to have his own place ... I was against it, because it's a really hard business to get into."

Vanda said some old family recipes have gone into creating the 40 different kinds of crepes, five sauces and 10 soups customers can choose from each day. In the kitchen, cooks Irina Zvonova and Lana Koroleva add their own special touches and suggestions.

"They both are really good cooks," Vanda said. "They give me different ideas, each day we have something different."

In addition to the regular menu, Souptastik Crepes can accommodate up to 30-35 people for special events with a "completely different" banquet menu, she added.

The Rybaks, who are West Bloomfield residents, hope to lure breakfast customers in with specials that include eggs any style, omelets, crepes and Illy coffee, a high quality brand that is very popular in Europe.

Souptastik Crepes carries gluten-free, low-carb, dairy-free and buckwheat crepes. Learn more about the restaurant on Facebook or call 248-539-2300.
