Young Couple Opens Maple House in Farmington Hills

The Schoolcraft College graduates have spent a year preparing their restaurant at 11 Mile and Middlebelt Roads.

Tiffany and Aaron Barsaleau looked at many different places before opening their first restaurant in a corner of Mid Eleven Plaza, at Middlebelt and 11 Mile Roads in Farmington Hills. 

The young couple, both graduates of the Schoolcraft College culinary program, said they spent a year working on , which opened more than a month ago. At a ribbon cutting ceremony with the on Monday, Tiffany Barsaleau said the space had been empty for two years before she and her husband took it over. 

"We just wanted to do the local family diner, with good food at great prices," she said.

In addition to a regular menu, which features breakfast (available any time), lunch and dinner items, the restaurant offers dinner specials on Friday and Saturday nights. Five featured items will change up every few weeks, Tiffany Barsaleau said. She added that local residents have already been very supportive.
