Southfield, MICH., January 9, 2014 -- The Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, Michigan office is proud to welcome seven new employees to its team. The announcement was made by Managing Partner Alan Whitman. They include: Matthew Howard and Holly Zimmerman.
Matthew Howard (not pictured) has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and master’s in Accounting from Michigan State University. In his current role as Tax Manager, he works closely with clients to provide tax saving strategies and comply with government relations. Howard previously worked for Baker Tilly from 2007 to 2012; after a brief tenure with Central Transport as the Tax Manager – he returned to Baker Tilly in 2013. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), enjoys baking, a game of golf and lives in Farmington Hills.
Holly D. Zimmerman has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Walsh College. In her new role as Audit Manager, she plans and manages audits. She also reviews compilation engagements for entities including manufacturing, not for profit, construction and real estate. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, she was an Audit Manager at Doeren Mayhew. Zimmerman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She is married with four small children and resides in Farmington.
