Botsford Health Care opens business facility in Farmington Hills

Botsford Health Care---encompassing Botsford Hospital, Parastar/Community EMS, and the Botsford Commons Senior Community---hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony recently at its new 51,000-square-foot business facility located at 27555 Farmington Road, just north of the I-696 Freeway in Farmington Hills. Attending the lunchtime event were officials from the City of Farmington Hills and the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce (GFACC), representatives from area businesses, and Botsford Health Care leaders and employees.

The magnitude of this move is a first in Botsford's 50-year history. It involved 250 employees and four Botsford Health Care functions relocating to this facility:

- Parastar/Community EMS Communications Center: A new advanced technology center that receives a high volume of 9-1-1 and non-emergency patient transportation calls.

- Corporate Finance Department: Responsible for the financial reporting of 15 Botsford Health Care entities. Botsford Health Care's Payroll handles this function for 4,354 employees in 11 different companies spread over three states. The organization's Accounts Payable processes 80,000 annual invoices.

- Parastar Billing Office: Responsible for processing the billing for 18 ambulance companies and fire departments that are located in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and New Jersey.

- System Business Office: Responsible for accounting functions for Botsford Hospital, the Botsford Clinic System, and Botsford's Laboratory Services.
