Neurologist Erin M. Frankowicz, D.O., joins Botsford Hospital medical staff

Erin M. Frankowicz, D.O., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. This neurologist sees patients at two locations of MIND (Michigan Institute for Neurologic Disorders): at 28595 Orchard Lake Road, Suite 200, in Farmington Hills, phone (248) 553-0010; and at 6255 Inkster Road, Suite 304, in Garden City, phone (734) 525-4466. 
 
After graduating from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Dr. Frankowicz completed her four-year post-doctoral clinical training at Garden City Hospital's neurology residency program, where she was named an intern physician of the year. 
 
Dr. Frankowicz has earned recognition from the Michigan Osteopathic Association for her scientific research on Devic's disease, an autoimmune condition affecting the spinal cord and optic nerves.  
 
She has given back to her community in a variety of ways. Dr. Frankowicz has done volunteer work at a nursing home, mentored youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, held a leadership role in a clinic offering free and reduced rate basic health care and services to indigent community members, volunteered with Unite for Sight to help bring needed eye care services to people living in remote villages, and participated in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. 
 
Dr. Frankowicz is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Movement Disorder Society.
