Bestowed by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, the Up & Coming Lawyers designation recognizes outstanding legal practitioners who are establishing a name for themselves in their first 10 years in practice.

The annual Super Lawyers list is rated based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and includes only five percent of attorneys in each state.

MacWilliams focuses exclusively on complex commercial litigation, including issues such as health care, business, contracts, trade secrets and intellectual property, and business torts. She has secured judgments or settlements in access of $35 million over the last three years. She was named a SuperLawyers Rising Star for 2010 and 2011.

A graduate of Kalamazoo College, MacWilliams continued her education at the University of Michigan Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctorate.
