CHARITY CAR SHOW

CIA Financial Group in Shelby Township is hosting its 8th Annual Charity Car Show on Saturday, July 26.  The event showcases over 100 show quality cars – from classics to muscle cars.  Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Big Family of Michigan.  Big Family of Michigan is a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of Michigan’s foster children and young adults through programs that provide the children the chance they deserve for happy, productive lives.

“Our Charity Car Show is a favorite event of our team,” said Mike Bolach, business development, CIA Financial Group. “We enjoy getting the community together for a fun afternoon and look forward to choosing a local charity to support each year.”

During the event planning process, CIA employees have the opportunity to nominate charities to receive the annual donation.  This year, Big Family of Michigan was chosen to receive the proceeds from the event.

“We were thrilled to get the call from CIA Financial informing us of their charity event,” said John Iras, Director of Operations for Big Family of Michigan.  “As a nonprofit entity, we rely on the generosity of others to continue our work with the children.”

The Charity Car Show is free to the public.  While guests are viewing the many unique cars, they will also have the opportunity to participate in basket raffles, purchase 50/50 raffle tickets and enjoy the Family Fun area with face painting, kids’ activities and more.  Jeanne Fowler, founder of Big Family of Michigan, will also be on hand to greet guests and sign purchased copies of her book “Peter’s Lullaby.”  Proceeds from all of these activities will be donated to Big Family of Michigan.

For anyone looking to grab a bite to eat at the event, Dickey’s BBQ Pit will be serving food and refreshments.  Partial proceeds from food sales will also go to Big Family of Michigan.

From noon until 4 pm, Dave Dahmer of 94.7 WCSX FM will be broadcasting live to add excitement to the afternoon.  One lucky raffle bidder will receive a pair of VIP passes to the WCSX Dream Cruise events in August.
