HAP’s FREE Health Care and Wellness Expo

Metro Detroiters have just a few weeks left to enroll in a health plan and ensure coverage starting January 1, 2014.  For those with questions about the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) or how to choose a health plan that’s right for them, HAP’s FREE Health Care and Wellness Expo is the place for answers.  Free flu shots and other wellness activities will also be available.

WHAT: HAP’s FREE Health Care and Wellness Expo

WHO: Anyone who is uninsured, employed and not covered, buying health insurance for the first time or has questions about “Obamacare” should attend this event. NOTE- THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR THOSE ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICARE.

WHEN: Thursday, December 12, 2013.  Choose from two sessions: 2 to 4 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Greater Grace Temple, 23500 W. Seven Mile Road, Detroit, MI.

HOW TO REGISTER: Call (866) 700-0002, Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to reserve a spot.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

LEARN:

·         Hear from special guests Dr. Frank McGeorge of Henry Ford Hospital and Mildred Gaddis, WCHB morning host about the importance of having health insurance and how to protect your health and your family’s future.

·         Get the HAP Advantage – Find out why members love HAP, including:  special discounts from Weight Watchers®, free adult flu shots and blood pressure screenings, mini massages, a healthy cooking demonstration with Chef Paul Penney and meet HAP’s personal service coordinators.

ASK:

·         HAP experts will answer your health insurance questions and explain what you really need to know about the Affordable Care Act.

ENROLL:

·         If you’re ready to enroll in a health plan, HAP’s Personal Alliance experts will be on site to help choose a plan to meet your needs.
