5 Things You Should Know about the Old Winery Market in Farmington

The Old Winery Market, formerly the Power Road Winter Market, opens today in the Winery building on Grand River in Farmington. Here are a few things you should know before you venture out to enjoy it:
1. Where and when
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and located in the historic Winery building, 31505 Grand River in Farmington.
2. Entrance and parking
You'll enter the market at the front and right about in the middle of the building. There's plenty of free parking on the north and south sides.

James Creek Sutlery, which offers certified organic herbs and spices, aged and flavored sugars and gourmet salts and peppers, has come up with a way to entice opening day shoppers. You can print out coupons offered on their website.

5. Look ahead: Christmas weekend
Because Christmas Eve falls on Saturday, the market will hold its Christmas Extravaganza on Friday, Dec. 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Shoppers take note: In addition to regular market vendors, a few special guests have been invited to take part in this event, geared toward holiday gift-giving.
