5 Things You Should Know This Weekend - May 4-6, 2012

The first weekend in May is always eventful in Farmington and Farmington Hills. In addition to Saturday activities like the , here's what else you should know this weekend:

1. The weather

The National Weather Service is predicting a great weekend, with some clouds and temperatures in the mid-60s. To get there, we may have to get through some showers and thunderstorms today, when the high will be in the low 70s. Tonight's low will drop to around 50.

Democrats will either cast a vote for incumbent President Barack Obama or remain uncommitted during Saturday caucuses at and city halls. Registration is open between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with voting no later than 11:05 a.m. You'll have to show proof of residence and be eligible to vote in November. .

An $8 dollar registration fee will cover class supplies and also a tax deductible donation to be shared by HAVEN, an Oakland County crisis and counseling center for victims of domestic violence, and the Farmington Family YMCA’s youth and family programs.
