5 Things You Should Know This Weekend - Nov. 18-20, 2011

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch celebrates its first birthday today.

The weather may be cold, but we at Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch have warm hearts as we celebrate a milestone today:

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts a windy Friday (gusts up to 31 miles per hour) and a 20-40 percent chance of rain Saturday through Sunday. Highs range from 47 today to 52 on Sunday, with night-time lows in the 30s and 40s.

3. Magic at the Barn

Join The Wonder Merchants for a hilarious comedy and magic show Saturday at 2 p.m., at the . Their material is appropriate for all ages, so bring the family. 4. Last Day at the Market

The Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market closes for the season Saturday at 2 p.m. The market opens at 9 a.m. in the with its usual contingent of Michigan-made products and produce, as well as greens for holiday decorating. You'll also have an opportunity to donate non-perishable food items, new and unwrapped toys and books or cash to the Farmington Area Goodfellows holiday drive.

Shining Star Performing Arts Academy returns to the stage at the on Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., with performances of this Disney classic tale about a young woman who finds a strange new world as she tumbles down the rabbit hole.
