5 Things You Should Know This Weekend—Aug. 19-21, 2011

Baseball, golf and a luau make for an exciting weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

While there's a chance of rain, there are plenty of activities on our calendar to brighten up your weekend:

1. The weather

Saturday may be damp, with a 40 percent chance of rain lingering through the day and evening, but today should stay bright and sunny. The National Weather Service predicts highs today and Saturday in the low 80s, with 79 as the expected high on Sunday. Evening temps will drop into the lower 60s.

If you're 50 or older, you're welcome to join in the fun starting at noon today at the , with the showing of The Switch starring Jennifer Aniston and Justin Bateman. Cost is $7; the Costick Center provides lunch before the movie and refreshments during. You'll need to register in advance by calling 248-473-1800.
