Brave the weather and give the gift of life today at Farmington High School.

It may be a rainy day, but there's plenty to do in Farmington and Farmington Hills. Our events calendar is jammed, and here's what else you should know:

1. The weather

Break out those umbrellas again. The National Weather Service predicts a 50 percent chance of rain after 8 a.m. today, and a 70 percent chance this evening. Today's high should land around 67 and tonight's low, around 49.

2.

Stop by the school, on Shiawassee west of Orchard Lake in Farmington, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. today, to give the gift of life. The American Red Cross has a critical need for blood. Donors are asked to go to the school's instrumental music room. Learn more at redcrossblood.org or call 248-426-2813.
