The City of Farmington Hills summer concert series closes tonight, with a group of hometown performers.

Tonight marks the end of another summer concert series, as the Farmington Community Chorus performs in Heritage Park.

Here's what else you should know

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts another sunny day, with a high in the mid-80s and a low tonight around 63.

The 80-member Farmington Community Chorus closes out this summer concert series with a wide variety of musical selections. The concert starts at 7 p.m. at the park's amphitheater; rain location is the  on 11 Mile east of Middlebelt.

The Farmington Rotary and Xemplar clubs host this raffle each week, and the jackpot is at an all-time high. The drawing is held at 9 p.m. Thursday at  in downtown Farmington. Tickets are just $1 and can be purchased from Farmington Rotary club members at any time, and at the pub on the night of the drawing. The winner will split the pot with the civic organizations. 

4. Look ahead:

Learn what this civic group for people ages 21-40 is all about on Friday, 7 p.m., at  in downtown Farmington. After the informational meeting, head up stairs with the group to enjoy the music of The Invasion. 

5. Look ahead:

The Kreellers, a spirited Celtic Rock band, returns to downtown Farmington Friday at 7 p.m., with a high-energy performance that features rugged versions of Irish classics and original music. If it rains, this free concert will be held at First United Methodist Church, across Grand River from the park.
