5 Things You Should Know Today - Dec. 1, 2011 - Santa Edition
We know where you can see Santa Claus this month.
In December, Santa makes the rounds in Farmington and Farmington Hills – and among the things you should know today, we tell you where he's going to be:
1. The weather
Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 40. The National Weather Service predicts tonight will be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow and a low around 29.

Downtown Farmington’s own North Pole, complete with a visit from Santa, is open on Saturday, Dec. 3, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the on Grand River. Santa will visit and pose for free photos with children and families.

Visit with Santa during this all-you-can-eat family pancake breakfast at on Dec. 3, 8 a.m. Children receive a keepsake from Santa, and you can purchase specially designed photos with Santa. Tickets at the door are $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 4-12 and free for children under 4 (family maxiumum $20).

5. Look ahead:
Enjoy an evening featuring dinner and local entertainment at the in Farmington Hills. More than 80 local talents are featured in a night of music, dance and poetry at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. For information and tickets, which are $13 in advance and $15 at the door, call 248-473-1800.
